Hunting, Fishing, Water Sports
Bainbridge is home to some of the finest hunting areas in the Southeastern United States. There is an abundant amount of wildlife that is monitored with care by the Georgia Fish and Game Commission. White Tail Deer, turkey, duck, quail, dove, squirrel and rabbit all inhabit the nearby woods outside of Bainbridge.
Lake Seminole is known nationally as one of the best sports fishing sites in the United States. Extensive stump and grass beds provide cover for lunker largemouth, scrappy hybrid, striped and white bass, catfish, crappie and bream.
The massive lake also provides opportunities for recreational boating, water skiing, jet skiing, sunbathing and many other water related activities.
Climate
Southern Georgia has a very temperate climate, averaging about 50 inches of precipitation annually with a daily average high topping out at 92 in July and August and an average low bottoming out at 40 degrees in December and January. Day temperatures in the winter months average in the mid 60’s. If you’re looking to get out of a cold weather climate, Bainbridge is the place to be!

Our schools are on the road from good to great with innovative teaching approaches being implemented at all levels of education. Bainbridge is also home to Bainbridge College, a two-year college of the university system of Georgia. In addition to offering associate degrees, Bainbridge College offers technical studies, continuing education studies and an accredited nursing program.
